This Modern Mediterranean home resides on over 10 beautiful acres in the Upper Ojai Valley. It is a usable parcel with spectacular views of every mountain range in the valley. Jane Carroll designed the 4 bedroom, 2½ bath structure to be her private home.

Ms. Carroll qualified at the Architectural Association in London where she studied under Keith Critchlow, specializing in proportional systems through research in medieval and Islamic geometry. She has worked in Ojai for the past 18 years designing several new houses in the valley as well as the recently completed Ojai Foundation Council House. The design of this home is influenced by Mediterranean courtyard design, utilizes passive solar, natural ventilation and day lighting. It is laid out according to a traditional harmonic proportional system.

The property includes the main structure as well as a separate studio/office. It is surrounded by beautiful pastures and has the feeling of a different world or a different time. The serenity of the setting and the phenomenal views combine with the unique quality and design of the house to create a totally unique Ojai experience.
